This website, nukeglobe.com, is operated by PG App Studios, based in the Lisbon area, Portugal. You can reach us at pgmetastudios@gmail.com. We are the data controller for the personal data described on this page.
2. What we collect
Nothing you type
The site has no accounts, no sign-up and no forms. We never ask for your name, email address or payment details.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, the country and device type of visitors, and game events such as which cities and warheads are chosen. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes your IP address to estimate your location; we have IP anonymisation and data retention set to the shortest options Google offers. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked first: analytics cookies are only set after you agree.
Advertising
We show advertisements served by Google AdSense to keep the site free. Google and its advertising partners use cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure them. If you decline advertising cookies in the consent message, Google serves non-personalised or limited ads, which use no personal data beyond what is needed to show the ad and prevent fraud. You can also opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. Google's use of data is described in its partner sites policy.
Stored in your browser
The game keeps a few settings in your browser's local storage: your sound and volume preferences, your cookie choice, and a count of the strikes you have launched for the leaderboards. This data never leaves your device unless you use a shared version of the game that keeps a shared scoreboard, in which case only the city counts, never your identity, are stored.
Server logs
Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser type) for security and to keep the site running. These are kept for a short period and are not combined with other data.
3. Your choices
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message provided by Google, a certified consent management platform, asks whether you agree to cookies for analytics and personalised advertising. If you do not agree, analytics cookies are not set and only non-personalised or limited ads are shown. Visitors elsewhere can opt out of personalised ads with the links above. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the message back on your next visit.
The site works fully without cookies. Nothing in the game depends on them.
4. Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Portugal that is the CNPD (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados). Because we hold no account data, most requests can be met by clearing your browser's cookies and local storage, but you are welcome to write to us at the address above.
5. Children
The site is an educational simulation about nuclear weapons and their effects, including estimated casualties. It is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
